2012 Update

Yes, yes, I am really bad about blogging.....  I am ashamed to acknowledge that I just noticed that my last blog was in 2011.  So here's a quick update on what we've done this year (to the best of my knowledge by taking a quick look at our calendar)
  • Jan 7: Saw J. Cutler at a restaurant...  right before Dan freaked out because my pasty white hubby was surrounded by 2 too many very passionate black women in our group (long story but needless to say, we all had a great laugh and continue to laugh at him today... :)
  • Dinner at the Consul General's House in Nashville
  • We went to a Christmas party at Susan's (she was moving in December so had to postpone her party)
  • Mrs. Kim got to stop by for lunch on her way back to Atlanta..  that was so much fun
  • Hosted a party at our house where the Consul General's personal chef cooked in our kitchen...  his food is SO good
  • Got a new fridge and a VERY quiet dishwasher
  • C + Y got to visit us, along with their daughter, Julie
  • A bunch of my best friends got REALLY sick after eating at a restaurant that I suggested.  (oops)
  • Dan worked his butt off because they launched the Altima  (May)
  • Dan got a new job... lateral move but great for his future
  • Went to the Limberg wedding - great to finally see them tie the knot after their crazy escapades around the world (literally: We're talking Osaka, Tokyo, Florence, Paris, and Chicago)
  • We hosted wine night
  • Nat and Erik came for a visit
  • I took on a long term temp assignment (2-3 months) for a healthcare company (cancelled our trip out west because of this assignment, along with Dan's new job... we were scheduled to go to Seattle, Bay area, and So Cal).
So those are some brief highlights in an nutshell so that you can be all caught up ;)

Basically, we haven't traveled much this year.  Dan goes places from time to time via work but I've stayed home for the most part.  With Dan's new job, it looks like he might be traveling up to 25% of the time....  but new and exciting adventures await him... like the Arizona Test Facility and the LA and JAX ports (yes, this sounds boring to most of us but for him, it's a really big deal :)
